Effect of Reduction for Post-Thoracotomy Pain by Cryoblock of Intercostal Nerves

Abstract
|

|
Remarkable effect of pain relief and prevention of the postoperative complications after standard thoracotomy has been achieved by cryoblock of intercostal nerves. Application of cold stimulator directly to the nerves causes localized destruction
of the
axons while preserving the endoneurium and connective tissue, thereby introducing a temporary pain block and complete regeneration of intercostal nerves be able to controling pain.
